BMO Capital analyst James M. Thalacker lowered the price target on NextEra Energy (NYSE: NEE) to $89.00 (from $90.00) while maintaining a Outperform rating.
The analyst comments "As expected, NextEra management believes the company is well-positioned to grow EPS at an 8%+ CAGR through 2035 (above the top end of its previous 6-8% EPS CAGR) while also providing additional upside drivers through its regulated/non-regulated large load strategies, accelerating storage deployment and recontacting/repowering opportunities among other drivers. The company's revised EPS CAGR of 8%+ should grow (rebased) off a higher expected 2025 range through 2032. We remain Outperform. Our MTM/SOTP decreases to $89 as we roll our base valuation year to 2028."
