Aegis Capital analyst Victor Anthony noted no sign of a slowdown in Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) usage following the Disney+ launch. In fact, usage is up.
"There was no slowdown in Netflix’s daily active users in the U.S. since the launch of Disney+ a week ago," Anthony commented. "In fact, usage has increased. Could be the sudden cold weather in the Northeast/MidWest kept viewers indoors consuming all forms of media content, including Netflix. Nonetheless, we will continue to watch for any divergence given that Netflix stated that they saw immediate churn when Disney+ launched in the Netherlands. Our view has always been that the competitive impact should be felt in the longer-term as the competitive options evolve."
The firm reiterated a Hold rating and $275.00 price target on NFLX
