Monness, Crespi, Hardt analyst Brian White reiterated a Buy rating and $126.00 price target on Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) ahead of earnings but expects the company to face challenges and although it has a reputation for being stable, will face similar challenges to tech stalwarts like Salesforce.com and Microsoft, making it difficult to meet revenue and EPS estimates.

The analyst stated "Oracle offers investors a high-quality, value play with the opportunity to participate in an attractive cloud transformation; however, the market has taken a severe aversion to the pending acquisition of Cerner (CERN/Not Rated) and the global environment has changed considerably in recent months. Today, the global economy is flirting with a recession, the geopolitical landscape is menacing, and the tech tantrum has morphed into tech Armageddon."
