Mizuho analyst Nitin Kumar reiterated an Underperform rating and $29.00 price target on CVR Energy (NYSE: CVI).
The analyst commented: "We expect 3Q25 EBITDA/EPS beats vs. current consensus from CVI, $154mm and $0.24 MSUSA vs. $146mm and $0.19 consensus, respectively, driven by our assumptions in refining (higher realized gross margin, volumes and opex in line), and our higher-than-consensus estimates on Fertilizers, likely due to unseasonally strong fertilizer prices. While results are moving in the right direction primarily due to stronger cracks and good runs in Refining, the Renewable Diesel business continues to face profitability challenges and a dividend reinstatement is likely a couple of quarters away. We maintain our $29/share NAV-based price target and reiterate our Underperform rating given the current stock price."
