Piper Jaffray analyst Katherine Egbert reiterated an Overweight rating and $54 price target on Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) while naming it a Top Pick for 2015.
Egbert continues to like Microsoft despite this year's run-up because: Stabilized PC shipments, Gross margin improvement, and Operating margin improvement.
"Microsoft's current portfolio of hardware, mobile, cloud, consumer, enterprise, and search products are increasingly important in a post-PC world," Egbert notes.
The firm has modeled a 65.2% gross margin and 31.1% operating margin (ex-integration/restructuring) for CY15E (66.4% GM and 33.0% OM for CY16E).
