Stephens analyst Jack Atkins lowered the price target on Knight Transportation (NYSE: KNX) to $63.00 (from $65.00) while maintaining a Overweight rating.
The analyst commented: "KNX reported 4Q25 EPS of $0.31, compared to our/street estimates of $0.35. Compared to our estimates, the primary driver of the miss was the non-reportable segment (we were above guide), partially offset by TL strength. Management guided EPS of $0.28 to $0.32, with the midpoint below the street's $0.31 ahead of earnings. Additionally, 1Q segment guidance underwhelmed. In particular, LTL revenue growth of 5%-10% y/y signifies continued volume softness in 1Q despite some bid wins. TL revenue guidance of slightly down y/y is translating to our lower 1Q rate estimates, although we still model rate building through the year. KNX believes the recent spot rate strength was largely capacity driven, but we still believe stronger demand is needed for more significant rate increases. We continue to favor KNX of the public carriers in a market primed for spot improvement. We remain Overweight; price target moves to $63 (was $65)."
