Kite Pharma (NASDAQ: KITE) shares are being defended at Cowen & Co. by analyst Eric Schmidt the firm has confirmed to Street Insider. Schmidt and his team believe the patient death is a "non-event" and does not expect any impact to the opportunity available for the CAR-T drug.
The company confirms to clients that they are buyers of the stock, specifically "aggressive" buyers with stock trading down over 10 percent.
