KeyBanc analyst Sophie Karp reiterated a Sector Weight on Avista (NYSE: AVA).
The analyst commented, "We hosted an NDR with AVA's management team earlier this week. Investor discussions focused on: 1) wildfire mitigation practices; 2) the WA regulatory construct; and 3) potential growth opportunities from data centers. In our view, the WA GRC remains the main catalyst, and a constructive outcome would improve AVA's earnings profile and position it on a trajectory to deliver its 4-6% LT EPS growth rate. With the rates case still in the early phases, and our view that wildfire risks will continue to pressure shares until further support on a regional/federal level, we are maintaining our Sector Weight rating."
