Jefferies Raises Price Target on MFA Financial (MFA)

Jefferies analysts raised their price target on MFA Financial (NYSE: MFA) $0.50 from $7.50 to $8.00 while maintaining a BUY rating on the company.

In a company note, a Jefferies analyst stated “With longer term funding now secured for non-agency assets, we expect the portfolio to perform well as MFA has historically been a cautious investor in the space, patiently waiting until it sees value in a trade.”

Jefferies' $8 price target equates to 1.05x book value, or in line with MFA's longterm multiple.
