In an earlier research note, Baird's Mark Marcon said On Assignment's (Nasdaq: ASGN) decision to buy Apex Systems will be "materially" accretive for On Assignment. Investors seem to be agreeing Wednesday afternoon: the stock is currently up more than 28 percent to around $17.59.
Marcon believes Apex will help push On Assignment to become one of the top players within the IT staffing market.
The analyst boosted his price target on shares of On Assignment from $16 to $19 in the note. Baird maintains an Outperform rating on the stock.
Elsewhere on the Street, SunTrust's Tobey Sommer lifted his price target on On Assignment from $16 to $20.
