H.C. Wainwright initiated coverage on Finjan Holdings (NASDAQ: FNJN) with a Buy rating and a price target of $5.00. Analyst Amit Dayal is confident in its ability to monetize cyber security assets.
"Finjan’s key focus is the licensing of its intellectual property portfolio, currently comprised of patents related to proactive security software. Assets within Finjan’s portfolio are used to address security vulnerabilities in segments including endpoint software, web infrastructure, and networking equipment. The company is partly differentiated from other IP monetization plays by having developed its IP portfolio organically," said Dayal.
"We believe FNJN provides investors with an opportunity to benefit from the monetization of a proven portfolio of security patents having already successfully generated $145M in licensing. Because FNJN is in the early stages of monetization, we use a DCF analysis for our valuation. Our analysis leads us to conclude that FNJN should
be fairly valued at $5.00 per share (pls. see Valuation section for DCF assumptions)," he added.
