H.C. Wainwright Reiterates Buy Rating on Axsome Therapeutics (AXSM)

H.C. Wainwright analyst Raghuram Selvaraju reiterated a Buy rating and $290.00 price target on Axsome Therapeutics (NASDAQ: AXSM).

The analyst commented: "Axsome Therapeutics recently reported its 2Q26 financial results, recording total revenue of $218.4M in the period. This modestly exceeded our forecast of $211.1M. Our full-year 2026 revenue forecast has risen slightly to $874.6M from the prior $867.6M, while our full-year 2027 revenue forecast remains essentially unchanged at $1.571B. The company recorded a 2Q26 net loss of $0.99 per share, in-line with our estimate. We currently expect a full-year 2026 net loss of $4.10 per share vs. the prior estimate for a net loss of $3.89 per share, improving to full-year earnings of $5.25 per share for 2027. This is substantively lower than our previous forecast for full-year 2027 net earnings of $6.47 per share, but reflects meaningfully higher long-term spending on SG&A to support continued expansion of the current commercial product revenue base and ongoing as well as anticipated product launches. The company reached the midpoint of 2026 with ~$319.9M in cash and cash equivalents on hand, which—along with capital resources from its debt facilities—we expect to be sufficient to fund operations through to profitability, which we anticipate may be attained in 1H27. We reiterate our Buy rating and 12-month price target of $290."
