Deutsche Bank analyst Nicole DeBlase raised the price target on General Electric (NYSE: GE) to $11.00 (from $8.00) while maintaining a Hold rating.
The analyst comments "While we expected GE stock to react positively to today's news, given that investors are craving evidence of proactive management action and greater certainty around debt paydown, the magnitude of today's 8% gain was surprising - particularly since DHR stock (covered by DB analyst Dan Leonard) was also up 8% (and it is rare to see both the acquirer + seller trade up following an acquisition announcement). After spending more time considering all ramifications of the transaction in the context of this share price movement, we come away less positive than our first blush view this morning."
