Edwards Lifesciences (NYSE: EW) surged this afternoon following comments from research firm Jefferies on the positing of late-breaker abstracts.
Jefferies said there was "favorable" clinical data from patients undergoing transapical Sapien impantation with Partner CAP.
Overall, the CAP data appeared to be "quite positive," and is set up well for TA approval. Jefferies noted that actualy results will be embargoed until January 30th at the Society of Thoracic Surgeons meeting.
Jefferies currently rtates Edwards a Buy. Following the call, shares moved about 4.7 percent higher, but have settled since and are up 6.8 percent on the session.
