DA Davidson analyst Matthew Summerville raised the price target on Cognex (NASDAQ: CGNX) to $35.00 (from $32.00) while maintaining a Neutral rating.
The analyst commented, "We increased our sales and EPS projections for CGNX for both 2025 and 2026, as this downcycle in demand may have bottomed, although it is a bit tough to gauge whether CGNX is poised for sustained inflection from here based on ongoing end market cross currents. That said, upside seen in 2Q25 and its current guide for 3Q25 were encouraging, particularly with respect to emphasis on expense optimization and free cash flow Logistics, Packaging and CE are performing well, offset by weakness in Semicon and Auto and unfavorable mix. NEUTRAL maintained, PT to $35."
