Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Manish A. Somaiya reiterated an Overweight rating and $333.00 price target on Generac Holdings (NYSE: GNRC)
The analyst comments: “After the close today, Generac disclosed Amazon (OW, Mathivanan) as Hyperscaler 2, with a long-term supply agreement under which initial backup-generator deliveries are expected to total $2.4B over 2027-2028. In our view, this is the most important data-center data disclosure since the first hyperscaler win and directly addresses the 2028 backlog-replenishment debate that had become central to the story. The announcement also supports management’s comments during our recent fireside chat that the customer base is broadening beyond Hyperscaler 1.
GNRC is now focused on delivering ~$4bn of identified data-center volume through 2028. At the end of 2Q26, GNRC had ~$1.35B of data center backlog scheduled for 2027, excluding Hyperscaler 2; the Amazon agreement now materially extends revenue visibility into 2028 (and beyond) and strengthens the case for the added capacity. The 2027/2028 delivery split and margin profile remain undisclosed. Shares are up ~40% after hours. We reiterate our OW rating and $333 PT.”
