BofA/Merrill Lynch reinstates coverage on EMC (NYSE: EMC) with a Buy rating and a price target of $36.00.

Analyst Wamsi Mohan cited the company's unique position to (1) help customers transition to the next generation software-defined-data-center (SDDC); (2) continue to innovate for existing storage architecturer; (3) replicate some of the success of VMW with Pivotal and big data initiatives; and (4) potentially monetize VMW's stake or benefit from its cloud strategy.
