Benchmark initiates coverage on Coinbase Global Inc. (NASDAQ: COIN) with a Buy rating and a price target of $252.00.
The analyst comments "We are initiating coverage of Coinbase Global with a Buy rating and a price target of $252 based on 21x our FY26E earnings per share of $11.98. COIN, the largest U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange with a domestic market share of ~66%, has established the industry’s most scaled platform ($404bn in assets and 250+ digital assets available for trading as of YE24) by offering a comprehensive suite of products and services aimed at facilitating the adoption and use of digital assets by both retail and institutional investors. COIN’s stock price, which is highly correlated to crypto prices, has been cut nearly in half since early December (versus a decline of ~41% in the Global 10 Crypto Index) as the rally spurred by the promise of a pro- crypto Trump Administration has faded amid tariff concerns and the ongoing wait for the enactment of game-changing stablecoin and crypto market structure legislation."
