Barclays on U.S. Department Stores: Sales Preview for June
Analyst, Robert S. Drbul, cuts the Barclays Broadlines/Dept. Stores Same Store-Sales Index estimate for from 4.7% to 3.1%. The estimate for the Index is based on a 9.1% increase over last year.
Drbul think June started off rather slow, but began to pick up around Father's Day, and finished slightly stronger. Some economic data may favor defensive stocks, but the analyst has made some adjustments to comps.
For Kohl's (NYSE: KSS), he now sees a decline of 3-5%.
Macy's (NYSE: M) has been lowered from a 3-5% gain to 0-2%.
Target (NYSE: TGT) lowers June comp estimates from 3-5% to 2-4%.
