Barclays maintains an 'Equalweight' on Ameren Corp. (NYSE: AEE) price target of $30.00.
Barclays analyst says, "Q3 Adjusted EPS was $1.57 which was well ahead of the $1.29 consensus. AEE attributed the upside to rate relief and cost management primarily. The company raised 2011 EPS guidance to $2.50-$2.60 from $2.30-$2.55...We are raising our 2011 EPS estimate $0.12 to $2.55. We maintain our 2012 EPS estimate of $2.43 and our 2013 estimate of $2.11."
"On the Q3 conference call management identified a payout range as 55-70% of the regulated businesses. This follows the company's recent decision to increase the annual dividend to $1.60/share from $1.54/share which is a 5.0% dividend yield. The $1.60 reflects a 70% payout of 2011 regulated EPS guidance. AEE's common equity ratio is an attractive 53.9%."
