BMO Capital analyst Kelly Bania downgraded Kroger (NYSE: KR) from Outperform to Market Perform with a price target of $60.00.
The analyst comments: "We are downgrading KR to Market Perform. Our target price remains $60. We believe KR remains on track to reiterate EPS targets for F25 but believe that valuation expansion beyond 13x would likely require stronger grocery market share trends and/or upward EPS revisions. For now, we trim our F25E EPS slightly but remain at the midpoint of F25 guidance. While pending ACI-KR merger still lacks clarity, we estimate that the potential EPS accretion from a deal or no-deal scenario is now largely reflected in the stock."
