RBC Capital analyst Brad Erickson raised the price target on Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) to $265.00 (from $255.00) while maintaining a Outperform rating.
The analyst comments: "AMZN's Q4 was mixed with a slight miss on 3p & ads along with an implied $100B+ capex guide outweighing solid AWS & continued EBIT outperformance. Our revenue estimates move down largely on the 3p miss but our EBIT estimates move up given upside from retail cost efficiencies; target goes to $265; reiterate Outperform. While the name is crowded and the AI 'spend money to make money' debate will undoubtedly continue, the combo of AWS's high margin growth and further network cost efficiencies have the company poised to continue growing earnings at a level supportive of this valuation, particularly given its strong AI positioning with potential for easing capacity constraints later this year."
