Shares of A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. (Nasdaq: APWR) are having a rough day after weaker-than-expected results. The downside move was exacerbated after an analyst at Roth Capital suspended coverage on the stock citing a lack of transparency.

According to Notable Calls, the Roth Capital analyst said, "We believe the company's lack of transparency has created inherent limitations to our ability to gain adequate insight into the underlying fundamentals to confidently model and value the business. We believe this transparency has deteriorated further, impacting our ability to publish an investment recommendation."

This morning, A-Power reported EPS of $0.04 below the analyst estimate of $0.12. Revenue for the quarter was $31.2 million, versus the consensus of $51.17 million and compared to $32.3 million in Q108.

Shares of A-Power are down nearly 23% currently to $10.13.
