Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE: ANF) is solildy higher (+2%) in early trade after Piper Jaffray's latest teen survey pointed to stabilization for A&F and an uptick in interest for Hollister.
For the first time in two years, A&F emerged in the top ten list (No. 8) as a brand preferred by upper-income males, analyst Neely Tamminga highlighted.
Meanwhile, Hollister is showing consistency across both upper-income and average-income teens with showings in the top ten for each.
Tamminga said the bigger picture from a financial standpoint is that "ANF's EBIT margins are on a journey from a 4% estimate for this year to 10%-12%+ over time (our estimate) aided by a better-aligned organization structure, new management, stabilizing brand relevance and improved fashion."
The firm maintained an Overweight rating and price target of $27 on the stock.
