Surgical Solutions IPA Announces Their Formation

NEW YORK NY / ACCESSWIRE / July 17, 2024 / Surgical Solutions IPA ("SSIPA"), an independent practice association ("IPA") comprised of independent ambulatory surgery centers ("ASC") in the state of New York has announced its formation.

Founded by healthcare executive and veteran Gregg Gordon, SSIPA intends to support ASCs as they face increasing financial pressures to maintain and improve their operations. With the increase of surgical procedures migrating from an inpatient setting to an outpatient setting, ASCs are well positioned to perform high quality surgical procedures at a lower total cost while providing patients with safe and comfortable experiences.

Historically, ASCs haven't been able to meaningfully leverage their value propositions or achieve economies of scale by operating as stand-alone entities. SSIPA brings together key ASC providers to provide solutions to ever-increasing medical costs, and to drive improvements in key performance indicators for traditional and non-traditional payor partners while remaining focused on the ultimate beneficiaries: patients and members of our communities.
