Block names Arnaud Weber as new Engineering Lead

Block Inc. (NYSE: SQ) announced leadership changes in its engineering organization. Dhanji R. Prasanna will transition from Engineering + Technology Lead to Technology Lead, focusing on technology strategy and frontier technologies while remaining on the leadership team but no longer serving as an executive officer.

Arnaud Weber, who leads the Cash Engineering team, will succeed Prasanna as Engineering Lead and oversee the engineering organization and operations. Weber's appointment is subject to required regulatory approvals.

The changes were announced August 21, according to a company statement. Prasanna will continue as a member of Block's leadership team in his new capacity.
