Relational Investors Said It's Not Involved With Textron (TXT)

Activist investment fund Relational Investors told Reuters that while they reviewed an investment in Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) it was never a serious prospect and it has no stake in the company.

Shares of the aerospace and defense conglomerate are up 6 percent Wednesday on prior reports the company is reviewing a spin-off of certain units.
