One of Barnes & Noble's (NYSE: BKS) largest shareholders has reduced its stake in the Company, according to an amended 13D filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission today.
Aletheia Research & Management reduced its stake in the company from 7,128,407 common shares, as of its 13F filing on May 16th, to 5,211,645 shares, or 8.65 percent of all outstanding.
The reduced stake was the result of several transactions since Aletheia last filed.
Shares of Barnes & Noble have moved higher recently after the company announced a $17 per share takeover offer from Malone's Liberty Media on May 19th.
