Sony (NYSE: SNE) shares are on watch Wednesday as Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) announced changes to its policy for the Xbox One used game policy.
Microsoft was largely criticized following the launch of Xbox One at E3 for not allowing users to share, lend, resell, or even look at their games the wrong way. However, consumer outcry has finally hit the video game giant, causing a change in sentiment. Whether this will position the Xbox One as a better alternative to Sony's PlayStation 4 later this year is yet to be seen and stories are sure to crop up between now and then on how each system should fare.
In late trading, Sony is up modestly.
