Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. (NYSE: HTA) shares are higher as CEO Scott Peters spoke with Jim Cramer on Monday night.
Peters noted that the largest driver of Healthcare Trust of America's growth will be when President Obama's Affordable Care Act is implemented in 2014. Given that tens of millions of people will now have insurance, the need for outpatient services will significantly increase.
Employment growth is another strong driver for Healthcare Trust of America, Peters noted, as more people employed leads to more insurance.
Though Healthcare Trust of America recently reported a weaker-than-expected quarter, Peters noted that larger providers are making expansion plans as the deadline for the Affordable Care Act looms.
Currently, Healthcare Trust of America yields about 4.4 percent. Cramer once again recommended the stock.
