Dan Loeb, of Third Point, said he got out of Herbalife (NYSE: HLF) a few months ago, according to a SALT 2013 presentation.
Fox Business Network reporter Charles Gasparino, on his Twitter account, said Loeb was cracking jokes about Pershing Square's Bill Ackman and his research behind Herbalife.
Loeb said that the market overreacted to the "Ack-attack" given cash flow and other metrics. Carl Icahn gave Loeb confidence about the trade, Gasparino noted.
No specification was made why Loeb is now out of Herbalife.
Shares of the company are up 1.7 percent, but off of session highs.
