Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) is requesting that the U.S. appeals court reinstate the company's patent infringement claims against Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) Motorola unit.
The claims are over touchscreen technology in mobile phones, Bloomberg noted Thursday.
The U.S. ITC previously issued a verdict over transparent screens in mobile devices with multi-touch technology, where Motorola persuaded the agency to rule that the patent was invalid.
Shares of Apple and Google are both positive on Thursday's session.
