Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI) is paring some earlier gains Wednesday following a release this afternoon saying it retained JPMorgan to explore the sale of its automotive electronics business.
The company denied earlier reports that it might sell its automotive interiors business, as posted by Reuters at about 12:50pm.
Shares are up 3.5 percent in afternoon trading after moving as much as 8.3 percent higher earlier.
