Apple (AAPL) Accounts for Lions Share of Overseas Cash by U.S. Tech Companies

On today's "Hoarders": Apple, Inc.
According to Moody's Investors Services, Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) has $74 billion of cash overseas last quarter, which is a 15.6 percent increase from the prior quarter and 111 percent jump from the end of 2010.
In total, U.S. tech companies overseas cash rose 31 percent last quarter, or 15 percent less Apple.
Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) was second at $50 billion, while Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO) moved $42.3 billion.
In all, the top-ten U.S. tech companies own 83 percent of all overseas cash in the sector, from 74 percent just five years ago.
Apple is out of the gate higher Tuesday, up about 1 percent.
