Chesapeake (CHK) Raises Loan Size to $4 Billion

Chesapeake (NYSE: CHK) has reportedly increased the size of its unsecured bridge loan to $4 billion from $3 billion.
Goldman Sachs and Jefferies Group were providing providing the loan.
The loan carries an initial variable annual interest rate through December 31, 2012 of LIBOR plus 7.0%, which is currently 8.5%.
Chesapeake has said the loan will provide them additional liquidity as they execute asset sales during the remainder of 2012.
