Employee Class Action Dismissal Bid Rejected for Apple (AAPL), Google (GOOG), Others

Seven tech giant's will need to face the music in a pending class action lawsuit, following a call by one U.S. judge Wednesday.

According to reports, Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL), Google (Nasdaq: GOOG), Intel (Nasdaq: INTC), Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL), Intuit (Nasdaq: INTU), Disney's (NYSE: DIS) Pixar, and Adobe Systems (Nasdaq: ADBE) will face a class action suit filed by five engineers in the State of California, claiming the companies conspired to depress employee pay by eliminating competition for skilled labor.

Though the companies tried to get the case dismissed, U.S District Judge Lucy Koh of California said the case will go forward, rejecting a bid by the septet.

Its not clear what the terms of the class action were at the time of filing.

The case is In re: High-Tech Employee Antitrust Litigation, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California, No. 11-02509.
