Netflix (Nasdaq: NFLX) CEO Reed Hastings can breathe easier now. Just a few weeks after Hastings hemmed-and-hawed at not being able to watch HBO Go on his Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) Xbox 360, reports Tuesday suggest the service will now be available for Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA) Xfinity subscribers.
The announcement was made through a beautifully written and hash-marked Microsoft tweet on Twitter. According to the release from Microsoft: "With HBO GO get unlimited access to your favorite HBO shows, including HBO original series, hit movies, sports, documentaries, and comedy specials. That’s every episode of every season of the best of HBO – now available on Xbox 360 consoles nationwide."
Shares of Microsoft are slightly higher early Tuesday.
