Partner Communications Company Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR) reports that its fully owned subsidiary, 012 Smile Telecom Ltd., was served with a lawsuit and a motion for the recognition of this lawsuit as a class action filed against 012 Smile on March 21, 2012 in the Central District Court.
The claim alleges that 012 Smile does not fulfill its commitment to provide its customers with certain internet browsing speeds, when using file sharing software.
If the lawsuit is recognized as a class action the total amount claimed against 012 Smile is estimated by the plaintiff to be NIS 71 million.
