Myriad (MYGN), Teva's Cephalon Enter BRCA Mutation Testing Agreement

Myriad Genetics, Inc. (Nasdaq: MYGN) announced today that it has signed an agreement with Cephalon Inc., a subsidiary of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd Company (Nasdaq: TEVA), to conduct BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation testing on patients to be enrolled in a Phase I/II clinical study.
Under the agreement, Myriad will assess the BRCA status in patients prior to being enrolled in the study. Myriad has entered into similar agreements with Abbott Pharmaceuticals (NYSE: ABT), Astra Zeneca (NYSE: AZN) and BioMarin Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: BMRN) to provide companion diagnostic testing with the BRACAnalysis® test for clinical trial enrollment.
