Maxim Group maintains a 'Buy' on Liberty Media (NASDAQ: LMCA) price target raised $2 to $106.

Analyst, John Tinker, said, "Management was clear that the company was not interested in dealing with Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA)(Buy, PT $34) owned Streampix as it was not a premium service. We believe that Starz’s streaming rights to the Disney (NYSE: DIS)(NR) and Sony (NYSE: SNE)(NR) theatrical movies could be useful to Barnes & Noble’s (NYSE: BKS)(Buy, PT $20) NOOK in its battle with Amazon’s (Nasdaq: AMZN)(NR) Kindle Fire."

"Waiting for Spinoff: The main interest was in another Malone/Maffei controlled company, Liberty Interactive (Nasdaq: LINTA)(NR), which announced a spin into two parts – the operating QVC entity and the non-strategic assets (which might be divested). A key driver to LMCA should be how Sirius XM Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI)(Buy, PT $3.20) will be repositioned later this year."
