Samsung Loses iPhone 4S Battle in Italy...for Now (AAPL)

January 5, 2012 2:08 PM EST
Samsung has already received a response from Italian officials about it's bid to have Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 4S blocked in the country: not gonna happen, said a court in Milan... Well, not yet anyway.

Following a filing in October, Judge Marina Tavassi of the Italian Tribunale di Milano rejected a preliminary sales injunction request by Samsung. Tavassi is seeking one more hearing before a decision will be made.

Patents under question relate to wireless WCDMA communications.

Samsung originally tried to block sales of the iPhone 4S within days of its launch.
