SuccessFactors, Inc. (NYSE: SFSF) 51.2% HIGHER; SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) announced an agreement Saturday afternoon to acquire SuccessFactors for $40.00/per share in cash, representing an enterprise value of approximately $3.4 billion.
Athersys (Nasdaq: ATHX) 25.3% HIGHER; breaking through the $2 level for the first time since early September this morning. The stock is near 1 million shares traded today, much heavier than the 74,000 shares normally traded on a full day.
Taleo (Nasdaq: TLEO) 20.4% HIGHER; likely trading higher amid the deal for SuccessFactors. The stock was upgraded at BMO early this morning.
Affymax (Nasdaq: AFFY) 19.2% HIGHER; share are rallying ifollowing news out of the FDA the company's anemia drug peginesatide works as well as Amgen's (Nasdaq: AMGN) epogen, aranesp. The FDA note comes ahead of a December 7th advisory panel review of the product.
Frontline (NYSE: FRO) 14.8% HIGHER; stock bouncing nicely today as Oslo-based First Securities issued a note earlier suggesting traders may have closed short bets on the stock. Shares plunged from almost $6 to below $3 in November following Q3 results and news the company will not pay a quarterly dividend.
Ariba (Nasdaq: ARBA) 13.9% HIGHER; likely trading higher on the heels of the SAP/SuccessFactors deal. The stock was upgraded to Buy at Roth Capital this morning.
VisionChina (Nasdaq: VISN) 11.8% LOWER; after breaking out (up 27 percent) on what seemed to be technicals on Friday, traders are taking profits this morning.
DAQQ New Energy Corp (NYSE: DQ) 11.6% LOWER; appears to have broke the 200-day SMA at the open this morning. Resistance/support levels were seen at $2.20 and then again at $2.00. Volume is light today.
Magal Security Systems (Nasdaq: MAGS) 10.8% LOWER; technicians continuing to sell this week after the stock failed to break through resistance at $5 late last week.
Imperial Sugar (Nasdaq: IPSU) 9.7% LOWER; continue a recent volatile run today. Shares fell 19.6 percent on Wednesday, and then gained nearly 30 percent over Thursday and Friday.
