Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 09/02: (AUY) (EGO) High; (STP) (IVR) (DB) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:

• Yamana Gold, Inc. (NYSE: AUY) high of $16.96. Yamana is up about 5.5 percent on the session as gold continues to rise. Gold is $46.1 higher to $1875.2 per ounce on the Comex today, as nonfarm payroll numbers failed to inspire buying in the markets, sending many investors into the metal today.
  
  
• Eldorado Gold Corp. (NYSE: EGO) high of $21.00. Same as Yamana above. Eldorado is closed higher 31 of the last 53 trading sessions, and is up 58 percent from a low of 13.30 on June 20th. This compared with the gold ETF, SPDR Gold Shares (NYSE: GLD), closing higher 36 of the last 53 sessions, but is up just 26.8 percent from a low of $143.97 on July 1st.

52-Week Low:

• Suntech Power Holdings Co. Ltd. (NYSE: STP) low of $4.72. Solars lower today on overall market conditions, as well as President Obama requesting the EPA scrap proposed ozone regulation rules. Click here for more color.
  
  
• Invesco Mortgage Capital Inc. (NYSE: IVR) low of $16.15. Invesco is showing some strong volume as it moved just over 4 percent lower to its new 52-week mark. Earlier in the session, Bank of America lowered shares from Buy to Neutral.
  
  
• Deutsche Bank AG (NYSE: DB) low of $36.61. Banks are showing some weakness today as the FHFA may take further litigation against them. Click here for more on that report. Deutsche's not doing the worst in the sector, though, with BofA (NYSE: BAC) down almost eight percent Friday.
  
  
• Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: PPHM) low of $1.16. Peregrine Pharma priced a 6.25 million common stock offering at $1.11 per share. Latest filings have Peregrine with 71.07 million common shares outstanding, meaning traders are pricing in the potential eight to nine percent dilution.
