Amylin (AMLN) Shares Up 7.5% Amid Byetta/Bydureon Data; CEO Says 'Very Confident' in Diabetes Treatments

Shares of Amylin Pharma (Nasdaq: AMLN) are now sitting at session highs following an appearance by the President and CEO Dan Bradbury on CNBC's Closing Bell.
Amylin shares are up about 7.5 percent Monday afternoon following bullish data on its Byetta and Bydureon diabetes treatments over the weekend.
Bradbury said he is "very confident" in Bydureon and expects an FDA decision sometime during the first half of 2012.
The exec also said the company is not currently for sale.
