DragonWave (DRWI) Looks To Win Verizon, AT&T Network Upgrade Business

DragonWave (Nasdaq: DRWI) CEO Peter Allen said his company has a good chance to win business from the largest U.S. wireless companies this year, according to a report from Bloomberg.
DragonWave is talking with Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ) and AT&T (NYSE: T) about providing them with microwave radio products that link transmission towers to their ground networks as the two look to upgrade their networks.
Last quarter, Clearwire accounted for 82% of DragonWave's sales as it builds out its 4G network. Now Verizon Wireless and AT&T may choose a supplier in the first half for their networks, Allen said.
Harris Stratex Networks Inc. (Nasdaq; HSTX) and Ceragon Networks (Nasdaq: CRNT) are two DragonWave competitors that could also be bidding for the deals with the two wireless giants.
