comScore (SCOR) Reports Increase in e-Commerce for 2009 Holiday Season (AMZN, WMT, EBAY, BBY, More)

comScore, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCOR) released their report on e-Commerce for the 2009 Holiday Shopping Season today.
The season begins on November 1 and ends on Christmas Day (December 25th). The firm estimates that $27 billion was spent online, representing an increase of 5% Y/Y. From Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) through Christmas Eve, and accounting for an extra shopping day in 2009, sales still increased by 3.5% Y/Y. Black Friday (November 27, 2009) saw an increase of 11% over 2008. Though the last shopping weekend of the season (December 19 - 20) saw a winter storm in key shopping regions, the weekend ended up 13% over 2008.
