Walgreens (WAG) Same-Store-Sales Up 2%
Walgreens (NYSE: WAG) had October comparable stores sales (those open at least a year) rose 2.0%, while comparable store front-end sales increased 0.4%.
Walgreens opened 71 stores during October, including seven relocations, and acquired one store.
At Oct. 31, Walgreens operated 7,035 locations in 49 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam. That includes 6,544 drugstores, 600 more than a year ago.
