Solar Stocks Climb on First Solar (FSLR) Earnings

Solar stocks are skyrocketing today on the back of First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR) Q4 earnings that blew-out analyst estimates. First Solar reported EPS for the quarter of $0.77, 25 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.53. Revenues for Q4 came in at $200.8 million, versus the consensus of $179.6 million.

Out of eleven popular solar names, only a few are not up more than 10%. Here are some solar stocks that are rising today:
  • First Solar - up 26.6%
  • Yingli Green Energy (NYSE: YGE) - up 17.9%
  • JA Solar (Nasdaq: JASO) - up 14.8%
  • Canadian Solar (Nasdaq: CSIQ) - up 14%
  • Evergreen Solar (Nasdaq: ESLR) - up 13%
  • SunPower (Nasdaq: SPWR) - up 10.7%
  • Solarfun Power Holdings (Nasdaq: SOLF) - up 10.2%
  • SunTech Power Holdings (NYSE: STP) - up 9.6%
  • DayStar Technologies (Nasdaq: DSTI) - up 8.7%
  • LDK Solar (NYSE: LDK) - up 7.1%
  • China Sunergy (Nasdaq: CSUN) - up 7.1%
