I Emailed to First Solar Investor Relations I notified First Solar about my concerns about its focus on one single solar technology which is not good business sense at all. It is called one trick ponies!! I urged First Solar to diversify its solar portfolio with different new technolgies that are available to capture the solar energy. I advise First Solar to start making heliostats designed specfivially for local building codes.

America Must Cut Oil Consumption We are still not doing it by much. Yes, oil inventories are growing but not much . The most promising solar technology is heliostats.. They are used to concentrate solar energy toward a boiler on top of a tower for steam generation to turn a steam turbine coupled to a electric generator .. it is too complicated and unpractical for utility uses . But we can still use the same heliostats (mirrors) to heat the backsides of our houses through windows and skylights. We can manufacture special heliostats for home and business use. No, it will not cause fires because we need only a few heliostats for each house or business as opposed to thousands for steam generation.. Why we havent caught on the idea of reflecting the sun rays against the cold damp backsides of our buildings really puzzles me!

Why Stop There With PhotoVoltaics? Why are we stopping with solar innovations ? I built my own heliostats from stratch to heat the northern shady sides of my house .I use aluminum foil glued on sheathing boards. It is cheap . manufacturers can design much better than my home design. They dont bother to because there is no money in that ... They dont care about energy independence.. They want to maximize profits in both solar and fossil fuel stocks...People would buy my concept design if they are manufactured to look better and more asesthetic. Mine is not. Why is it so hard for me to explain what I mean?? It is so complicated and the manufactureres know that..

First Solar Is One Trick Pony Be careful! There is many different promising solar technologies that can take off anytime. The best solar technology is capturing solar heat directly and heat buildings. It is the cheapest and gives the biggest bang for your tax rebate dollar. They are not available yet, but they will. We are too focused on converting to electricity through photovoltaics which is not efficient and most expensive. Someone is trying to slow us down on alternate energy movement by luring us into photovoltaics . We must diversify our solar portfolios into different promising solar technologies. So far many of us are building them ourselves. Why are not they manufacturing them as well ? Suspicions abound!

Solar Mirrors Are Best Photovoltaics are grabbing the center attention while other solar technologies are ignored. What it tells me is that those solar people are not interested in cutting fossil fuel consumption by choosing the least efficient solar technology. Mirrors or so called heliostats is among the lowest cost and most efficient methods to capture the solar energy. There is no tax credit for heliostats , why not?
