Hess (HES) Declares $0.10 Dividend; At New 52-Week High

Hess Corp. (NYSE: HES) yesterday announced its Board of Directors declared its regular quarterly dividend of $0.10 per share payable on the Common Stock of the Corporation on January 2, 2008 to holders of record at the close of business on December 19, 2007. This quarters dividend will mark the seventh consecutive quarter in which Hess has paid its shareholders a dividend.

Shares of Hess have surged today, up more than $2 to a new 52-week high at $77.07. The declaration of Hess' dividend appears to be the only factor driving the stock higher today.

Hess Corporation, formerly Amerada Hess Corporation, is a global integrated energy company that operates in two segments: Exploration and Production (E&P) and Marketing and Refining (M&R).
